There are many residents and families here that can benefit from knowing and understanding more about hospice benefits/services. For many of us, the time to make decisions regarding hospice can arrive somewhat suddenly, at a time when we may already be feeling overwhelmed and underprepared- not the best place from which to be making decisions. We’d like to provide an opportunity at College Manor for people to be introduced to the concept of hospice in a relaxed group setting, under no immediate pressure and among friends who are similar situations.
Our quarterly FHF (Family Helping Family) meetings are committed to a one-hour time frame. Our goal is to provide those attending with as many bullet points of information and resources as we can, offering a starting point or introduction to topics from which families can then pursue more information.
