College Manor for over 60 years in Maryland

Level 1-3 Assisted Living

We are equipped to take care of individuals who need “intermittent nursing care.” Level 3 care means we take care of our residents with security needs through total custodial care, which is multifaceted.

We are licensed and inspected by the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and accountable to the Office of Healthcare Quality (OHCQ) in the State of Maryland.

Nursing

With more than 30 years of experience as the Director of College Manor, our Registered Nurse is present 40-50 hours weekly and is on-call 24/7. The RN assesses, coordinates care, and supervises a staff of 25 Certified Nursing Assistants, Geriatric Nursing Assistants, Medication Technicians, and Detail Aids. She is assisted by two Licensed Practical Nurses who compliment the care with their extensive expertise in orthopedic and geriatric care.

The staff is chosen for their attitude of compassionate care as well as professional experience. They are regularly inserviced upon topics such as dementia care, infection control, fire and disaster response, first aid and CPR. Most of the staff have been here between with us here in Lutherville, MD seven to forty plus years.

The role of the care workers is to provide personalized care to the resident as the family requires. They encourage independence but will aid residents with simple task. Our staff is watchful of any changes in the residents health.

  • Home Hospice Care

Care Planning

Care planning is done upon admission and at least every six months thereafter. We encourage your input, and wish for you to be part of the planning cycle.

We take into an account every 45-day assessment by the RN, the 3-month assessments by the physician in charge of care, and the 6-month assessment of the pharmacist. We utilize the input of the aids who deliver the day-to-day care, the dietary and activities staff, therapists, the family or responsible parties to monitor progress or decline. But, most importantly, we ask you.

You are part of our family. We have been serving Baltimore County for over 60 years.
